Sponsor a sewing student
A full training cycle on industrial machines, plus the business skills to earn from it.
The challenge
What families face
In many underserved communities, a lack of practical skills traps people, especially women and girls, in poverty, dependence and danger. Where there are no employable skills, crime, exploitation and unemployment take root.
Social grants cannot stretch far enough. A community without skills is a community without options.
Our approach
How we work on it, together
Our Sewing Skills Development Programme trains participants, mostly women and young people, on industrial machines. They master garment-making and alterations and learn to run a sewing business from home.
Every student leaves with hands-on skills, business knowledge, a mentor and the confidence to turn sewing into an income.
